Selina Tam

Selina Tam is an Advisor at Alucio. Selina has over ten years of experience in the pharmacy industry. Selina has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of California, San Francisco and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California.

Selina began their career as a Pharmacy Resident at Health Plan of San Joaquin. Selina then became a Manager of Pharmacy Services at Chinese Community Health Plan. In 2013, Selina was promoted to Associate Director of Clinical Operations at DaVita HealthCare Partners. During their time at DaVita, Selina led initiatives to improve clinical operations and patient outcomes.

In 2015, Selina joined Blue Shield of California as a Senior Pharmacist on the Rx Product Strategy and Operations team. At Blue Shield, Selina was responsible for developing initiatives to improve the pharmacy benefit design for Medicare members. Selina also led the evaluation and implementation of a Medicare preferred diabetic test strips program. This program achieved annual savings of $4.6M.

Selina is passionate about improving access to quality healthcare for all patients. In their current role as Advisor at Alucio, Selina provides strategic direction and guidance on pharmacy benefit design and formulary management.

Selina Tam received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Honors in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. Selina then attended the University of California, San Francisco where they earned a Pharm.D.
