Alum Rock Counseling Center (ARCC)
Alexander Black is a skilled counselor currently serving as Counselor II at Alum Rock Counseling Center since August 2023. Previously, Alexander held the position of Clinical Intern at Adolescent Counseling Services from August 2022 to June 2023 and worked as a Graduate Apprentice at Ohlone College, assisting students with career assessments and applications. Alexander's diverse professional background includes roles in IT support at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and various parks service positions, demonstrating strong organizational and customer service skills. Alexander holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from San Jose State University and an Associate’s degree in Communication Studies from Cabrillo College.

AREAS OF IMPACT ARCC, as a longtime partner of this, our extended community, will work to ensure that: 1. All of our kids are kindergarten ready. 2. Our youth graduate from middle school, high school and beyond. 3. Our youth and families are free from involvement with the justice and/or social services systems. 4. Our homes, schools and neighborhoods are safe - free of violence and dangerous behaviors. 5. Our youth and families have resources for overcoming behavioral health concerns including substance use and mental health challenges.
