Cynthia Leyva is an experienced mental health professional with a robust background in program management and counseling. Currently serving as the First 5 Program Manager I at Alum Rock Counseling Center since November 2015, Cynthia has been instrumental in ensuring that programs align with the agency's mission and comply with mental health policies. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, case management, staff development, and program supervision. Previously, Cynthia held various roles at Grail Family Services, focusing on parent services and community engagement. With a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Ethnic Studies, and Spanish from Santa Clara University, Cynthia is dedicated to promoting mental health services and supporting families, particularly in at-risk communities.

AREAS OF IMPACT ARCC, as a longtime partner of this, our extended community, will work to ensure that: 1. All of our kids are kindergarten ready. 2. Our youth graduate from middle school, high school and beyond. 3. Our youth and families are free from involvement with the justice and/or social services systems. 4. Our homes, schools and neighborhoods are safe - free of violence and dangerous behaviors. 5. Our youth and families have resources for overcoming behavioral health concerns including substance use and mental health challenges.
