Sergio Suarez, P.ENG

Sergio Suarez, P.ENG has a diverse range of work experience in various engineering roles. Sergio is currently working as a Lead Product Engineer at AlumaPower Corporation. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Manager (Squadron Commander) in the Canadian Forces. Sergio also worked as a Product Engineer at Glen Dimplex Americas and a Product Design Engineer at Melitron Corporation. In these roles, they were responsible for designing electromechanical enclosures and digital signage for prominent clients. At AUTOCOM, they worked as a Process Engineer, designing fixtures and implementing RFID systems for assembly lines. Additionally, they worked as a Product Engineer at IMPCO Technologies Canada Inc. and as a Research and Development Engineer Co-op Student at Dimplex North America. Sergio gained experience in testing, analysis, and validation of various components. Sergio also worked as a Quality Control Engineering Co-op Student and Facilities Engineering Co-op Student at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, where they conducted studies, implemented improvement projects, and oversaw construction projects. Lastly, as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op Student at Honeywell Limited, they implemented continuous improvement projects and conducted timing studies. Throughout their career, Sergio Suarez has demonstrated a strong ability to design, test, and analyze various engineering projects.

Sergio Suarez, P.ENG has a strong education background with a focus on engineering. Sergio completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo from 2007 to 2011. Building upon this foundation, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Applied Sciences in Fire Safety Engineering, also from the University of Waterloo, between 2011 and 2015.

Additionally, Sergio Suarez holds the certification of Professional Engineer (PE), obtained in December 2021 from the institution Professional Engineers Ontario. This certification further solidifies their expertise and commitment to the engineering field.
