Joshua Hoffman

Josh Hoffman is the Director of Statistical Genetics at Alumis. Josh joins us from the Genomic Discovery group at Foresite Labs, where he supported incubation efforts centered around therapeutic company creation and genomics-based analytical capability development. Prior to that, Josh was an investigator in the Human Genetics group at GlaxoSmithKline, where he focused on precision medicine activities spanning the use of genetics for patient stratification, repurposing clinical trial data for drug discovery, and building high-throughput variant-to-gene mapping pipelines across large scale genomic datasets. He received his Ph.D. in Human Genetics from Vanderbilt University Medical Center and completed his post-doctoral research at the University of California, San Francisco.
