Alexander Kravchuk is a Senior Scientist at the University of Vienna since July 2011. Prior to this role, Alexander served as a Visiting Senior Research Scientist at Politecnico di Milano, focusing on the development of peptide-based tools for proteome analysis and establishing mechanisms for BioRad’s ProteoMiner technologies. Experience also includes a Staff Scientist position at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, where the development of long peptides and protein-peptide conjugates for obesity and diabetes research was emphasized. Earlier roles include a postdoctoral fellowship at Gryphon Therapeutics, investigating mechanosensitive ion channels, and a Junior Researcher position at the Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of Microorganisms, specializing in NMR analysis of natural products. Educational qualifications comprise a PhD in Enzymology and protein chemistry from The Ohio State University and a postdoctoral degree in Enzymology of ribozymes from Stanford University, along with an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
