Mark Ruchman

Mark Ruchman, MD, currently serves as a Venture Scout at Alumni Ventures since February 2024, contributing to an extensive network of investors. Holding the position of Managing Director at Ash Creek Capital Advisors since October 2021, Mark previously served as Chief Medical Officer at Versant Health from May 2017 to November 2022, where responsibilities included developing medical policy and managing utilization. Mark has surgical experience from Oculofacial Associates of Connecticut LLC, where the role was held from July 2007 to October 2022. Additionally, leadership was provided as Director of the International Eye Foundation from June 2015 to June 2021, focusing on eradicating childhood blindness worldwide. Prior to that, Mark was National Medical Director at Envolve Vision Benefits, Inc. from May 2010 to May 2017. Academic credentials include an MD in Medicine from Yale School of Medicine, ophthalmic plastic surgery and ophthalmology training from Wills Eye Hospital, and a BA Magna Cum Laude in Chemistry from Williams College.
