David Heaton

David Heaton is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and analysis, currently serving as a Senior Researcher at Alumni since January 2023 and as a Staff Analyst at DefenceReport since November 2015. Heaton has also contributed to local governance as a Holgate Ward Councillor for the City of York Council from May 2019 to May 2023, participating in various committees focused on education, health, housing, and community issues. Prior roles include researcher positions at GatenbySanderson and Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate Limited, along with teaching positions in history and social sciences at various educational institutions.
