Jennifer Barrueta

Jennifer Barrueta has over 10 years of experience in medical billing and operations. Jennifer began their career in 2010 as a Medical Collections Specialist Team Lead at ACS Systems Inc. In 2012, they transitioned to a Patient Access Specialist role at CHRISTUS Health. In 2013, they were hired as a Medical Billing and Collections Specialist Lead at SightLine Health, where they were responsible for translating patient information and into alphanumeric medical code, collecting, posting, and managing patient account payments, and submitting claims to insurance. In 2014, they moved to a Medical Billing Specialist role at HOUSTON ARRHYTHMIA ASSOCIATES, P.A., where they oversaw the AR and worked with insurance companies, making claim corrections or filling appeals when necessary. Jennifer also interviewed new candidates for office positions and collected payments from patients. In 2016, they joined Physicians PA as a Medical Billing and Revenue Manager, where they oversaw all facility RCM process, billing and progress notes, and specialized in TMHP (Medicaid) and Medicare (Novitas Solutions) along with their MCO, Advantage Plans including claim denials, corrections, auditing and Recoupments. Most recently, in 2021, they were hired as a Billing Department Operations Manager at Aluna, as well as a Medical Billing Specialist.
