Sybren Vanderbeken

Sybren Vanderbeken is an experienced R&D professional currently serving as an R&D product developer at Aluvision NV since November 2024. Prior to this role, Sybren worked as an R&D prototyper at Smappee from August to November 2024 and as a project engineer at Sobinco for four years, from September 2020 to August 2024. Earlier experience includes conducting a bachelor thesis on materials research for rapid prototyping at Beologic in early 2020 and holding multiple job student positions at 1st PARTS, Beckhoff Automation, Van Marcke, and Frigro NV between 2014 and 2020. Sybren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Production Technology with a focus on Plastics Processing from VIVES University of Applied Sciences (2017-2020) and an HBO5 degree in Electromechanics - Process Automation from cvo MIRAS (2015-2017), along with TSO qualifications in Electricity - Electronics from PTI Kortrijk (2010-2014).
