Dave Cunningham

Dave Cunningham's work experience spans various roles and industries. Dave currently works at Alvaka Networks as a Senior Case Manager, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this, they were the Business Technology Officer at Alvaka Networks from April 2013 to February 2022.

Before joining Alvaka Networks, Dave was the President & CEO of Dempsey Bluevar Inc., a Managed Services Provider and systems integrator, from 2006 to 2013. Dave played a key role in merging Dempsey Business Systems and Bluevar to form Dempsey Bluevar.

Dave's earlier experience includes serving as the President of Bluevar, an IT systems integrator and managed services provider, from 1998 to 2006. During this time, Bluevar became the nation's leading reseller of Tivoli IT Director and an IBM Premier Business Partner.

Prior to their role at Bluevar, Dave founded Cunningham Technology Group in 1992, where they represented top-tier resellers and consultants to mid-market and enterprise customers. Some of the companies they worked with include IBM, MicroAge, and IKON Technology Solutions.

Dave's career began at Shell Oil Company, MMFG Division, where they worked as a Regional Sales Manager from 1989 to 1992. Dave successfully grew the sales territory and managed distributors and manufacturer representatives.

Before transitioning into the technology industry, Dave worked as an Aerospace Engineer at Rockwell International from 1982 to 1989. During this time, they made significant contributions to the space industry, including validating early phase flight profiles for NASA and developing the simplified low-thrust orbital transfer method used on the International Space Station.

Dave Cunningham attended Auburn University from 1977 to 1982. During this time, they earned two Bachelor degrees: one in Aerospace Engineering and another in Engineering, specializing in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering.
