Sofia Hernandez is an experienced educator currently serving as a 1st grade Bilingual Teacher at Alvarado Independent School District since September 2013, where responsibilities include implementing the Gomez & Gomez Dual Language Model and teaching various subjects in both Spanish and English. Additionally, Sofia holds the position of LPAC Campus Chair at Alvarado Elementary South, organizing documentation and coordinating meetings for the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee. Prior roles include teaching 3rd and 2nd grade Bilingual classes and providing tutoring for high school and middle school students in subjects such as Math, Science, and English as part of the AVID program.
