Meghan Lucey has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health and geriatric care. Meghan has served as a Behavioral Health Therapist at Alvarado Parkway Institute Behavioral Health System, where they specialize in intensive outpatient care. Prior to this, Meghan worked as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist at Community Research Foundation, where they provided counseling and support to homeless adults with serious mental illnesses. Meghan also has experience as a Specialized Care Manager at the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut, where they led a team and worked with the geriatric population in home care services. Additionally, Meghan has worked as a Transition Coordinator, assisting individuals with transitioning from institutional settings back into the community. Meghan has completed internships at The Willows, a skilled nursing facility, and Fellowship Place, a clubhouse that provides therapeutic services for adults with mental illness.
Meghan Lucey completed their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in Clinical Practice at Southern Connecticut State University from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology with a Concentration in Mental Health from the same university, during the period of 2012 to 2016. In addition to their academic degrees, Meghan Lucey has also obtained several certifications, including Pro ACT (Professional Assault Crisis Training) from Alvarado Parkway Institute Behavioral Health System in December 2021, the Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) Registration from the Board of Behavioral Sciences in August 2021, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification from A B CPR AND FIRST AID TRAINING in November 2021.
