C. Vivek Lal, MD, FAAP

C. Vivek Lal, MD, FAAP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. C. Vivek is currently serving as the Founder & Executive Chairman of Alveolus Bio, a platform drug development company focusing on inhaled live bio therapeutics for chronic respiratory illnesses. C. Vivek is also the Founder & CEO of ResBiotic, a company dedicated to developing respiratory therapeutics.

In addition, Dr. Lal has been involved with Urgent Care for Children, where they served as a Board Member and then as the Chairman of the Board. C. Vivek was also the Co-Founder & Managing Director of the company.

Dr. Lal has also been involved with various academic institutions. C. Vivek was an Associate Professor in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine and the Director of the Pulmonary Microbiome Lab at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. C. Vivek also held positions as the Associate Director of Business Development - Neonatology and Assistant Professor in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine at the same institution. Furthermore, they served as the Director of the Golden Week Small Baby Program, Regional NICU at the university.

Prior to their time at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. Lal worked as a Neonatologist at Children's of Alabama. C. Vivek also served as a Physician in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Lal worked as a Physician in Pediatrics at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.

Furthermore, Dr. Lal has been an Advisor at XpertDox and a Founder of Biostack Ventures.

C. Vivek Lal, MD, FAAP has an extensive education history. C. Vivek attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Drug and Medical Device Development Strategy with a focus on Health. Later, they joined the UT Southwestern Medical Center and completed a Clinical Fellowship in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine. Subsequently, they continued at UT Southwestern Medical Center for a Research Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pulmonary and Vascular Biology. Prior to that, Dr. C. Vivek Lal attended the Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama to complete their Residency in Pediatrics as part of the Pediatrics Residency Program.

In addition to their education, Dr. C. Vivek Lal has obtained several certifications to further enhance their expertise. C. Vivek completed the Blaze Healthcare Leadership Academy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. C. Vivek is also certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in General Pediatrics and Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine. Furthermore, they have acquired knowledge in Evidence-Based Medicine through a program at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Finally, Dr. C. Vivek Lal is part of the Young Physician Leadership Alliance, which is a professional organization affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics.
