Kim Johnson is an accomplished educator and performing artist with extensive experience in dance and theater. Currently serving as the Director of Educational Programming at Accent Dance NYC since March 2023, Kim has contributed significantly to the arts education sector, previously working as a Teaching Artist with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and teaching various performing arts at BRONX HOUSE. Additionally, Kim has played a pivotal role in community arts initiatives, including originating the role of "Claudette" in the play "Liberty & Justice," and using theater to enhance learning at Henry Street Settlement. Kim’s career also includes leadership roles such as Assistant Director at Riverdale Day Camp and Artistic Director for a small not-for-profit performing arts company. Academic credentials include a BA in Communications from Northwestern University.
