Alvolab is a preclinical CRO and a spin-off from Karolinska Institutet. Our mission is to accelerate the development of novel therapies to treat kidney disease by combining scientific excellence with robust and reproducible preclinical models. We offer a range of validated models for acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and diabetic nephropathy.

Our capabilities cover in vivo imaging (IVIS, μCT, PET/MRI), histology (incl. AI-assisted histology scoring), spatial and single-cell transcriptomics, proteomics, and comprehensive biomarker analysis. 

Alvolab was founded by academic and industry experts in nephrology and drug development. We collaborate with biotech, pharma, and academic groups to accelerate discovery and translation of novel therapies to treat kidney disease.
