Perla Thorbjornsdottir

Perla Thorbjornsdottir has a diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance and laboratory management. Perla started their career in Prokaria as a researcher and student in 2001. Perla then joined Landspitali University Hospital in 2002 as an M.Sc. student and scientist in the Department of Immunology. In 2006, Perla joined Actavis, where they held various roles in quality control laboratories, including as a specialist and project manager. In 2015, they transitioned to Alvotech, where they started as a QA specialist and eventually became the Vice President and Head of Quality Assurance Operations. Perla has also held positions such as Director QA Analytics, Sr Manager QA Analytics, and Quality Assurance Manager during their time at Alvotech.

Perla Thorbjornsdottir completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Molecular Biology at Háskóli Íslands from 1999 to 2003. Perla then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Immunology at the same university from 2003 to 2005. In 2013 to 2014, Perla attended a training seminar at Actavis to earn an IPMA certification D level in Project Management.
