Philip Caramanica

Philip Caramanica currently serves as Chief IP Counsel & Deputy General Counsel at Alvotech USA Inc., where responsibilities include overseeing intellectual property and legal strategies since joining in September 2016. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Patent Counsel at Sandoz and Senior Patent Attorney & Head of IP Biotechnology at Synthon, where Philip developed IP strategies for various biotechnological applications. Additional roles encompassed patent attorney work at Stanzione & Kim, LLP, patent agent duties at Oliff & Berridge, PLC, and scientific research at The American Type Culture Collection and Georgetown University. Philip Caramanica holds a J.D. from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School, an MS in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in Biology from Penn State University.
