Darren Beckford

Darren Beckford is a software engineer who currently works at Alvys. Darren has also worked as a business systems manager at Global Canna Labs.

Darren has always been driven by the need to innovate and improve efficiency in the way businesses operate. When they and their co-founder Nicola Fuller started Global Canna Labs, they had the mission of becoming a one-stop source for goods and services in Jamaica and the Caribbean.

Since then, Darren has been instrumental in establishing several earning opportunities with WOW Jamaica, including the virtual retailer program and Third Party partnerships opportunities. Darren is always looking for ways to better serve the customer and grow the company.

Darren Beckford received their Bachelor of Science in Computing from the University of Technology, Jamaica with a specialization in Computer Science. Darren also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the same school, with a focus in Accounting, Finance & Banking. Prior to that, Darren completed high school at James Fowler High School where they studied Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General. Darren also spent time at Herbert Morrison Technical High School studying Mechanical Engineering.

Their manager is Ricardo Lynch, Head of Engineering. They are on a team with Mark Bromfield - Software Engineer, Shawna-Kaye Patten - Lead QA Engineer, and Keegan Henry - Lead Software Engineer.
