Shannon Nelson

Shannon Nelson, CPA, is a Senior Accountant at ALX Oncology since June 2023, previously serving as an Assurance Senior and Assurance Staff at EY from September 2019 to June 2023. Earlier experience includes positions as Event Operations Supervisor with Cal Poly Associated Students, Inc., and Assurance Intern at EY. Shannon began a career in accounting as an Accounting Assistant at Navigator Accounting Services and contributed to various roles during time at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, including operations for the Cal Poly Student Life Orientation Days. An early internship at Avalara entailed preparing tax returns and collaborating with accounting professionals. Shannon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Entrepreneurship from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, earned between 2015 and 2019.
