Jan Kucera

Jan Kucera has a strong background in IT and management consulting. Jan currently holds the position of IT Business Partner at Alza.cz a.s., where they are responsible for aligning IT strategies with core business units and leading strategic projects such as the Alza Marketplace and B2B initiatives.

Prior to their current role, Jan worked at KPMG Czech Republic as an Associate Manager in Management Consulting from October 2017 to February 2021. Jan also held positions as a Senior Consultant from October 2016 to September 2017 and as a Consultant from January 2014 to September 2016 within the same company.

Jan's earlier experience includes working as a Project Manager at IAESTE, a non-profit international organization, where they coordinated an international internship program and managed job fairs. Jan also served as the Alumni Coordinator for IAESTE Czech Republic between 2013 and 2015.

In addition, Jan had an internship as a Programmer at Hal interactive in 2011, and they worked as a Web Developer at Redtiger from 2003 to 2008.

Jan Kucera obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology from Czech Technical University in Prague, starting in 2007 and ending in 2010.

From 2010 to 2012, Jan Kucera pursued a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague.

In 2010, Jan Kucera also participated in an Erasmus program at the University of Tampere, where they studied Knowledge Management. This program lasted for one year.

Jan Kucera furthered their education by obtaining a Master's degree in Corporate Management & Economics from Prague University of Economics and Business between 2011 and 2013.

Aside from their formal education, Jan Kucera also holds several certifications. Jan obtained the SAFe Scrum Master certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in December 2018. In September 2016, they received the TOGAF Foundation certification from Pearson VUE. In January 2015, they obtained the Prince2 Practitioner certification from APMG-International. Additionally, Jan Kucera obtained certifications in Foundations of Business Strategy and Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills from Coursera in December 2014. In July 2014, they received the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management from EXIN. In November 2013, Jan Kucera obtained the TOIC (English C1 - Listening and Reading) certification from Educational Testing Service (ETS). Jan also holds an IELTS 6.5 (English C1) certification from the British Council, obtained in October 2009. Furthermore, they hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN.
