Wolfgang joined forces with Amadeus in 2023 and focuses on technology start-ups in the DACH region. He has been with APEX Ventures since 2017 where he leads and co-leads the investment activities of its early-stage deep-tech portfolios.
Wolfgang holds non-executive board and chairman positions at various companies in Austria and Germany working, among others, on photonics, AR/VR, quantum technologies, autonomous systems and robotics, airborne and space technologies as well as AI and machine learning.
Previously Wolfgang co-led two Austrian SMEs as Executive Management Board member and supported various start-ups as Senior Advisor. He also worked as an Associate and Partner at McKinsey & Company for 12 years, serving clients in the automotive, aerospace and high-tech industry in strategy and operations, specifically product development and large-scale transformation.
Wolfgang holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Communications Engineering from Vienna University of Technology, and graduated from the International Space University in Huntsville, Alabama.
