Sadie Hedegard, Ed.D., is currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent of SELPA & Special Education for Amador County Unified School District since July 2023. Previously, Sadie held the position of Assistant Superintendent of Special Education, Innovation & Learning at Sacramento City Unified School District from November 2020 to October 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Student Support Services at Mother Lode Union School District and Director of Special Education at Inspire Charter Schools. Earlier career achievements include serving as an Administrative Program Specialist at El Dorado County Office of Education and Special Education Advisor for California Charter Schools Association. Sadie earned a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University, a Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from UC Santa Barbara.
