Sonya Entova has a varied work experience spanning from 2010 to 2020. Sonya began their career as an Undergraduate Intern at Brandeis University in 2010, where they determined the kinetics of the monoterpene synthase, (+)-limonene synthase and assisted in the discovery of its crystal structure. Sonya then moved on to Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2013, where they served as a PhD Candidate in the Imperiali Lab, as well as a Teaching Assistant for Principles of Chemical Biology (7.41/7.73) and General Biochemistry (7.05). In 2018, they became a Graduate Student Intern at Amgen in Process Development. In 2019, they were a Co-op in Physical Biochemistry at Biogen, and in 2020 they joined Amagma Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist and Scientist in Protein Biochemistry.
Sonya Entova began their educational journey at Arlington High School, where they graduated in 2009. Sonya then attended Brandeis University, where they earned both a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Russian Studies in 2013, as well as a Master of Science in Biochemistry in 2013. Sonya then went on to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy in Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2019. In addition, they obtained a Kaufman Teaching Certificate Program from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in May 2016.
