Computational Protein Designer at Amai Proteins

Jason Shirian has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. In 2011, they were a Research Assistant at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, working on protein design projects with the goal of designing affinity and specificity for various protein-protein interaction pairs using experimental and computational methods. From 2015 to 2022, they held several roles at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, including Lab Manager, Graduate Teaching Assistant, Mentor in the Odyssey Program for Gifted High School Students, and Mentor in the Alpha Program for Gifted High School Students. Jason's duties included assisting students to perform experiments, preparing lab workbook, presentations, quizzes and lab reports, grading of quizzes and lab reports, mentoring of gifted high school students to carry out advanced biological research projects, teaching research methods, guiding the student to solve scientific problems, assisting with analysis of results, and submission of research proposal and comprehensive project report. In 2022, they began working as a Computational Protein Designer at Amai Proteins.

Jason Shirian began their education in 2010, when they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Jason then continued their studies at the same institution, earning a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Structural Biology in 2016. Jason is currently in the process of completing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biochemistry and Structural Biology, also from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which they expect to complete in 2022.
