Michael Cotter, MBA, has extensive experience in enterprise risk management and business control. Michael most recently worked as the First Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management at Amalgamated Bank, where they led the implementation of a new GRC system and developed an enterprise-wide issues management process. Prior to that, Michael served as an Enterprise Risk Manager at Navy Federal Credit Union, where they provided training and documentation for new ERM initiatives and worked closely with business unit risk teams. Michael also worked at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Metro Forex Inc., Assent LLC, and JP Morgan Chase, holding various roles in risk management, business control, portfolio management, and equity trading. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
Michael Cotter, MBA, obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance/Information Systems from NYU Stern School of Business in 2001. Michael later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accountancy from Baruch College, completing it in 2017. Furthermore, Michael has obtained additional certifications, including the Series 3: Securities License for Commodities and Futures Securities from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on behalf of the National Futures Association (NFA) in December 2009, and the Series 7: General Securities Representative from FINRA in November 2008.
