David Keenan

Dr. Keenan joined Amarin in May 2022 as Senior Vice President, Technical Operations and is responsible for the Company’s technical operations and supply chain. David has spent more than 30 years in the Biopharmaceutical and Medical Device industry, with significant experience managing multiple international locations and teams (US, Europe and Japan) and manufacturing Bulk API (including biologic, small molecule, cytotoxic API), Sterile Drug Product and Medical Devices. He joined Amarin from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals where he was the Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Quality and General Manager of Mallinckrodt Ireland. As a member of their executive team, David was responsible for Operations and Quality Management, Supply Chain, EHS, CMC/Technical Operations, Corporate Engineering and the establishment of “green field” site operations. Prior to Mallinkrodt, David worked for Helsinn, a Swiss pharmaceutical company.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology, a Doctoral degree in organic chemistry from Maynooth University, Ireland, and an MBA from Dublin City University, Ireland.
