Marketing Lead & Shareholder at AmarLab

Shahriar Amin has a diverse range of work experience, with their most recent role being the Marketing Lead & Shareholder at AmarLab starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at JTI (Japan Tobacco International) as the Head of Activation from May 2021 to March 2023, and as the Head of Brand from September 2019 to April 2021. Shahriar also served as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh from January 2019 to December 2021.

Before their time at JTI and the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Shahriar worked at AKASH DTH as the Head of Marketing, where they played a key role in launching the first Direct to Home (DTH) service in Bangladesh. Shahriar joined AKASH DTH in January 2019 and left in September 2019.

Prior to that, Shahriar worked at Philip Morris International as the Head of Sales from November 2017 to November 2018, and as the Head of Marketing from February 2016 to October 2017. Shahriar also has experience working at Philip Morris Hong Kong as a Brand Manager from July 2013 to January 2016.

Shahriar's career began at Grameenphone Ltd, where they held various roles in brand management from June 2003 to June 2009, including Deputy General Manager, Manager, Deputy Manager, and Officer.

Throughout their career, Shahriar has achieved notable accomplishments such as launching a new DTH brand, creating and launching a strategic price fighter brand, and capturing a significant share of the Premium Lights cigarette segment. Shahriar'swork has been recognized globally, and they have been rewarded with company stock.

Shahriar Amin has a diverse education history. Shahriar obtained a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Science from Notre Dame College, where they studied from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed their SSC in Science at St Joseph High School, where they attended from 1989 to 1996.

To further their education, Shahriar attended the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. From 1999 to 2003, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Marketing. This provided him with a solid foundation in business principles.

Shahriar's pursuit of knowledge continued as they enrolled in the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka once again, this time for an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) in Marketing. Shahriar dedicated two years of their life, from 2008 to 2010, to complete this program.

In addition to their formal education, Shahriar Amin prioritizes gaining certifications to enhance their skills in the field of marketing. Shahriar obtained various certifications, including "Become a Digital Marketing Specialist," "Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Essential Training," "Content Marketing Foundations," "Digital Marketing Foundations," "Mobile Marketing Strategy," "The Online Marketing Fundamentals," "Content Marketing," and "Google Analytics." Shahriar also pursued advanced certifications such as "Advanced Search Engine Optimization" from the University of California, Davis, and "Digital Marketing" from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in "Digital Marketing & E-Commerce" from Avado and "Ninja writing: The 4 levels of Writing Mastery" from Udemy.
