Fred Chan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Fred started their career in 1997 as a Finance and Analysis Manager at Commonwealth Bank. Fred later served as Manager Decision Science at Carlson Marketing Group from 2004 to 2007 before joining Woolworths Limited as a Data Mining Specialist and later as a Campaign Team Leader. In 2013, Fred became a Campaign Team Leader and Senior Analyst at Quantium before moving to Equifax as an Analytics Lead in 2015. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Velocity Frequent Flyer as a Manager for Marketing Automation and Cloud. Fred then became a Senior Decisioning Architect at Pegasystems in 2018. Fred joined Optus in 2019 as a Data Analyst in Enterprise Information Management and currently holds the position of Associate Director Analytics and Insights at amaysim since 2023. Throughout their career, Fred has demonstrated expertise in data analytics, campaign management, marketing automation, and decisioning.

Fred Chan completed their education with a MCom degree in Accounting from Macquarie University, from 1997 to 1999. Fred also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology from UNSW, from 1994 to 1996. In addition, they hold certifications such as Tableau Desktop Certified Associate from Tableau Software, obtained in May 2020, Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum Alliance, obtained in October 2018, and Certified Practising Accountant from CPA Australia, obtained in 2002.
