Gareth Manuel has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gareth has held various roles in different companies, with their most recent position being the Head of Engineering at amaysim since June 2021. Prior to that, Gareth worked as the Engineering Manager at amaysim from December 2018 to June 2021.

Before joining amaysim, Gareth served as the Development Manager at Orchard - Inventing Better, where they led a team of 15-20 developers and QAs in scoping, architecting, and building solutions for digital marketing projects. Gareth worked across multiple areas, including .net, php, Umbraco, Angular, VueJS, mobile hybrid, PWAs, SEO, marketing automation, machine learning, serverless, and Alexa/Google Home, as well as multi-cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google's Firebase.

Gareth also worked at Rubik Group as a Technical Lead, where they played a key role in designing and building integrations for Rubik Model Bank (RMB), a cloud-based banking solution for credit unions and ADIs. Gareth worked on payments platform integrations, product originations decisioning engine, and communications and orchestration services.

Additionally, Gareth has experience as a Technical Manager at InLoop, a startup focusing on creating a FinTech SaaS solution called Lantern Pay. Gareth managed a development team, served as the lead application developer, and was responsible for software architecture and design. Gareth also liaised with third-party organizations such as Westpac and the healthcare industry.

Earlier in their career, Gareth held positions at Credit Suisse as a Technical Project Lead (AVP), CASRA as a Project Manager/Senior Developer, and Marylebone Diversified LLP as an IT & Software Development Manager. Gareth also worked as a Senior Analyst/Programmer at TridentGLOBAL Pty Ltd, an IT Contractor at Islandboy IT, and held various roles at the Administration Branch of the University of Adelaide.

Gareth Manuel attended the University of Adelaide from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Computer Systems Engineering.
