Leila Salazar-Lopez has extensive experience in environmental advocacy and organizational leadership, currently serving as Executive Director at Amazon Watch since August 2010, after previously holding the position of Program Director. Prior roles include Campaign Director at Rainforest Action Network from February 2007 to August 2010, and Clean Up Ecuador Campaign Organizer at Amazon Watch from August 2002 to February 2007. Additional experience includes serving as Corporate Accountability Organizer at Global Exchange from September 1999 to August 2002 and as an Organizer with Green Corps from August 1998 to August 1999. Leila earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science from UC Santa Barbara, attended from 1993 to 1998, and completed high school at Oceanside High School from 1990 to 1993.
