Brent Payne has extensive experience in machine learning and software development across various roles and companies. Brent began as a Software Developer and GUI Team Lead at Exstream Software and Hewlett-Packard before transitioning to a Scientist/Engineer position at BBN Technologies. After obtaining a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of California, San Diego, Brent held the role of Researcher/Developer at Localot Research, followed by Technical Lead of Data/Machine Learning at BrightScope. As Co-Founder and CTO of LeadCrunch, Brent developed a platform for navigating medical and scientific documents, leading to successful partnerships for lead generation. Currently, as Director of Machine Learning & Co-Founder at Spoutable, Brent oversees machine learning pipelines for an emerging ad-tech company and also serves as Sr. Manager of Machine Learning Applications at Amazon, managing teams focused on personalized content recommendations. Brent holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky.
