Çağatay Bircan is a Principal Economist at Amazon, leading the International Public Policy Economics function within Economic Decision Science since June 2024. In addition, Çağatay serves as an Industrial Professor at UCL, teaching a Master's level course on Valuation in Venture Capital and Private Equity since September 2021. Previously, Çağatay held multiple positions at the EBRD from April 2015 to June 2024, including Lead Research Economist, Senior Research Economist, and Principal Economist, focusing on academic research and policy work. Prior experience includes a role as a Fixed Income Strategist at Merrill Lynch and doctoral studies in Economics at the University of Michigan, where Çağatay completed a PhD. Currently, Çağatay is pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Machine Learning at UCL, set to conclude in January 2025.
