Fumiya Shimizu has extensive experience in product management and operational leadership across various technology companies. Beginning a career at Toshiba in 1990, Fumiya served in multiple managerial roles spanning international operations, marketing, and product planning. Notably, Fumiya was the Assistant General Manager for the Digital Products Division at Toshiba America from 2013 to 2015, overseeing laptop and tablet businesses in Latin America. Fumiya transitioned to Amazon Japan in 2016 as Sr. Manager and later took leadership of the Kindle, Fire Tablet, and Accessories divisions. Most recently, Fumiya held the position of Head of Cross Category Operational Excellence at Amazon in late 2024. Fumiya holds a BA in Political Science from Keio University, which was completed in 1990.
