Hassan Farooq

Hassan Farooq is an experienced programmer and software engineer with a strong background in semiconductor physics and electrical engineering. Currently working at Amazon since September 2024, Hassan previously held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Covariant from September 2022 to September 2024, and worked as a programmer at Tenstorrent Inc. from August 2019 to August 2022, focusing on machine learning compilers and software infrastructure. Prior to that, Hassan worked at Intel Corporation as a Senior Design Engineer, providing software support for FPGA hard-IP blocks and developing software infrastructure for FPGA modeling. Hassan's academic background includes a Master's degree in Semiconductor Physics and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from the University of Toronto. Early career experiences include internships at Microsoft and Altera.
