Isaac Thompson

Isaac Thompson, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in the field of data science and organizational research with extensive experience in applying artificial intelligence to hiring practices at Amazon as a Senior Research Scientist since November 2022. Prior to this role, Isaac served as the Director of Data Science at Modern Hire from July 2017 to November 2022 and was a Principal Data Scientist there. Earlier career highlights include being Red Hat's second data scientist, leading data science initiatives related to the people function, and various analytical roles including work at the William and Ida Friday Institute and North Carolina State University. Isaac holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from North Carolina State University, complemented by a Master’s degree in the same field and a Bachelor’s degree in English Writing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
