Jasha Droppo

Jasha Droppo is a seasoned expert in electrical engineering with extensive experience in both industry and research. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Scientist at Amazon since January 2019, Jasha previously contributed to Microsoft as a Researcher from 2000 to December 2018. Jasha was also an active member of the IEEE (SPS) Speech and Language Technical Committee (SLTC) from 2006 to December 2012 and worked as a Consultant at Combustion Specialists Inc from 1997 to 2000. Jasha holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, obtained in 2000, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Gonzaga University, graduated in 1994 with honors.
