Karthic Thope is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and cloud solutions. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Leader at Amazon in AWS Security since March 2025, Karthic previously held the position of Head of Cloud Engineering at Hazelcast from July 2022 to March 2025, where Karthic led the development of a high-availability managed cloud service. Prior to that, Karthic was a Senior Director at Inovalon, focusing on technology platforms for healthcare analytics, and a Director at Software AG, where Karthic managed R&D operations and integration following the acquisition of JackBe. Karthic also has a strong background in product development from tenure at Oracle and experience as a Systems Analyst at NASA. Karthic holds an MS in Information Systems from American University and a BS in Information Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
