Melina Sibonay Alvarado

Melina Sibonay Alvarado, Esq. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in human resources and labor relations. Currently serving as the Director of People eXperience and Technology for Amazon's Africa, Middle East, and Türkiye Operations, as well as for Policy, Melina leads policy governance for the World Wide Consumer HR organization and manages a team of employee relations experts supporting 129,000 associates across nine countries. Prior experience includes roles as Labor Relations Director at The Walt Disney Company, overseeing domestic labor strategies for major resorts and managing collective bargaining agreements, as well as a Human Resource Manager for Disney Cruise Line, providing strategic HR leadership for a diverse crew. Melina's career began at the University of California at San Diego, and Melina Sibonay holds a Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Society from UC Santa Barbara.
