Paddu Kumar is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software development and strategic planning. Currently serving as Director of Software Development at Amazon since May 2017, Paddu has led initiatives related to product, tech, and science for worldwide Amazon stores, as well as the People Experience & Technology division. Prior to Amazon, Paddu spent a decade at Progressive Insurance, progressing from Senior Technical Program Manager to Sr. Manager of IT Strategic Planning, overseeing enterprise-level portfolios and enhancing customer communications within claims processing. Additional experience includes research internship at Cisco Systems and a strategy consultant role at McCombs School of Business. Educational credentials include an MBA in Information Management and Finance from Texas McCombs and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University Chennai. Domain expertise encompasses strategic planning, portfolio management, data and analytics, and enterprise content management, with proficiency in various tools including ADKAR, LEAN, Tableau, and Power BI.
