Prashanth Rao

Prashanth Rao is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in procurement and operations management. Currently serving as the Director of Procurement Operations at Amazon, Prashanth oversees a multi-billion dollar throughput across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, leading a large organization of over 600 managers and 50,000 associates across 500+ sites. Prior to Amazon, Prashanth held significant positions at BASF and Cummins Filtration, where responsibilities included managing manufacturing, supply chains, and sourcing strategies, achieving substantial annual growth and profitability. Prashanth holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Digital Communication from Bangalore University and an MBA in Operations Management from Binghamton University.
