Ron Knapp

Ron Knapp is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in leadership roles at major companies. At Amazon, from February 2005 to July 2024, Knapp served as VP of Amazon Privacy Services and VP of AdTech & Engineering, as well as Director of Software Development for AmazonClicks, overseeing the engineering organization delivering the Amazon Clicks platform. Additional roles at Amazon included Director of the China Technology Team, where strategies were developed for migrating Joyo onto the Amazon.com platform, and Director of Operational Excellence, where Knapp managed quality assurance and operations support teams and led encryption efforts for compliance with PCI standards. Prior to Amazon, Knapp was VP of Structured Data at eBay from March 2018 to April 2020 and Head of Technology for Citi FinTech from January 2016 to March 2018, responsible for retail mobile banking strategies. Knapp began the career as VP of Information Technologies at Chemical Leaman Tank Lines from January 1996 to January 1999. Knapp holds an MBA with a marketing emphasis from the University of Arkansas and a BS in Computer Science from Arkansas Tech University.
