Sameep Tandon is an experienced professional in the field of computer science and artificial intelligence. Currently serving at Amazon in the AGI SF Lab since February 2025, Sameep has prior experience at Apple, leading special projects from June 2019 to February 2025. Before that, Sameep co-founded and held positions as a Board Director and CEO at drive.ai from April 2015 to June 2019. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University, where research focused on deep learning for autonomous driving, and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, complemented by research in personal and surgical robotics. Early experience includes a software engineering internship at Facebook focused on machine learning.
