Simon Barker

Simon Barker is an accomplished professional in the fields of programme management and operational leadership, currently serving as the Director of Programmes for Europe at Amazon since January 2022. Prior experience includes various senior roles at Royal Mail from 2010 to 2021, where Simon successfully led national operations, implemented automation and AI technologies, and was instrumental in strategic transformations to enhance efficiency and capacity in logistics. Simon's background also includes significant positions at Rolls-Royce, where responsibilities encompassed manufacturing and supply chain management, along with early career roles at Jaguar Land Rover and BMW Group. Simon holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Sheffield and completed the Executive Leadership Development Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
