Soo-Min Kim

Soo-Min Kim has extensive experience in applied science and machine learning, currently serving as Director of Applied Science (Personalization) at Amazon since January 2011, with previous roles as Senior Manager and Manager in the same field, along with positions as Senior Machine Learning Scientist and Machine Learning Scientist in advertising. Prior to Amazon, Soo-Min held the position of Research Scientist at Yahoo! Labs from December 2007 to December 2010 and worked as a Research Engineer at Fetch Technologies in 2007. Academic contributions include a Postdoctoral Research Associate role at the Information Sciences Institute in 2007 and a Research Assistant position there from 2002 to 2006. Soo-Min Kim earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science specializing in Machine Learning from the University of Southern California, and holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Korea University.
