Eline Sijbesma

Eline Sijbesma has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to the present. In 2012, they worked as a Junior Researcher at the Spinoza Institute, where they developed and produced supramolecular biomaterials for translational research and applications in regenerative medicine. In 2013, they participated in the Netherlands Research School of Chemical Biology, an honors program in Chemical Biology. In 2014, they were a Graduate Student MSc at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, working on a project on the dual binding mechanism of two phytoestrogens on the Estrogen Receptor alpha. In 2015, they were a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco and a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Student at Eindhoven University of Technology. Her PhD dissertation provided innovative fragment-based strategies for the discovery of small molecule PPI stabilizers. Currently, they are a Scientist at Ambagon Therapeutics.

Eline Sijbesma has an extensive educational history. Eline attended Over Betuwe College from 2003 to 2009, where they obtained a VWO in Natuur&Techniek/Natuur&Gezondheid. Eline then attended Eindhoven University of Technology from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering. Eline then continued their studies at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Biology at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2015 to 2020.
