Mike Gray

Principal Engineer at Ambi Robotics

Mike Gray has a long and varied work experience. Mike began their career in 2002 as a Senior Researcher at OSU Biomedical Informatics, where they contributed to the procurement of a $6 million State of Ohio BRTT Grant and led a team responsible for producing software to help in cancer research. In 2003 they became the Owner of Soma Properties, LLC. In 2005 they moved to KACE as the Chief Architect and Manager of Core Engineering, where they designed, developed, tested, and released KBOX agent software. In 2008 they worked as an Architect at Startup Weekend Columbus, helping to form the concept and create an initial version of EventStart. In 2010 they joined Dell as an Executive Director and Senior Distinguished Software Engineer, where they were involved in technical due diligence and the technical evaluation for several potential acquisitions and partnerships. In 2016 they became a Software Engineer at Attic Labs, Inc., where they were primarily focused on writing Go code. In 2017 they joined NuBix as CTO, VP of Engineering, and Principle Software Engineer, where they were responsible for building and leading a team of software engineers. In 2018 they joined Sylabs Inc. as an Engineering Advisor and Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for development and deployment of Singularity Container Services. In 2022 they joined Ambi Robotics as a Sr. Staff Software Engineer.

Mike Gray completed their High School Diploma in 1991 from Cambridge High School. Mike then attended The Ohio State University from 1991 to 1996 and graduated with a BS in Computer Science. In 2004, they completed an MBA in Business Administration from Franklin University.
