Kalevi Leppämaa

Kalevi Leppämaa has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Kalevi started their career at the School of Juhana Herttua as an IT Support Person, where they gained experience in computer installation, maintenance, and network administration. Kalevi then joined Nokia as a Help Desk Specialist, providing application support and contributing to the development of a local request management application. Kalevi later took on the role of a Service Desk Specialist, where they continued to provide support and also worked on the design, development, and maintenance of a request management application based on Remedy AR System.

In 2002, Kalevi became a System Specialist at Nokia, focusing on the development and maintenance of the global Service Desk telephone system. Kalevi also handled programming for support tools and provided application support. From 2004 to 2007, they served as an Application Specialist at Nokia, contributing to the concepting, design, development, testing, and application support of a customer care application based on Siebel CRM.

In 2007, Kalevi joined Nokia Siemens Networks as a System Designer, where they worked on the design and development of a customer care application based on BMC Remedy. Kalevi also contributed to the development of a web-based search and reporting tool using Java and worked on integration projects between systems.

Kalevi then moved to Atos, where they held various roles starting from System Designer to Service Manager and later became a Technical Lead. As a System Designer and Technical Lead, they were responsible for the design and development of a customer care application based on BMC Remedy. Kalevi also worked on integration projects and was involved in the design and maintenance of an Oracle database. As a Service Manager, they oversaw the planning and monitoring of system transfers and contributed to the design and development of a customer care application based on BMC Remedy.

Currently, Kalevi is working as a Software Developer at Ambientia.

Kalevi Leppämaa completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Telecommunications from the Turku Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1994. In 2005 to 2007, they attended the Vocational Adult Education Centre in Turku where they obtained a Further Qualification for Electricians. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including C# Test Driven Development from LinkedIn in May 2020, Complete C# MasterClass from Udemy in March 2020, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in November 2019, and ITIL® V3 Foundation from EXIN in March 2012.
