Olli Porola

Olli Porola has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Olli started their career as a Web Designer at Turku University of Applied Sciences in 2003. During their time there, they worked on designing and developing websites. In 2005, they worked as a Software Designer at EB, Elektrobit, where they contributed to software development projects for Nokia mobile phones and base stations. Olli also had a short stint as a Programmer at Sports Interactive in London, UK, where they worked on PC game programming.

In 2008, Porola joined Nokia and took on multiple roles, including Senior Software Engineer and Project Lead. Olli specialized in software test automation, continuous integration system development, and embedded software development for mobile phones and smartphones.

Porola then moved to Microsoft in 2014, where they served as a Program Manager, leading and managing software programs for international smartphone projects. Olli was responsible for manufacturing test automation software and manufacturing testing support.

In 2016, Porola started their own business, Optima Coaching Oy, as a part-time entrepreneur and coach. Olli'sfocus was on coaching individuals and groups in endurance sports, particularly triathlon and strength and conditioning.

Porola's most recent role is with Ambientia, where they started in 2018 as a Project Manager and later became a Senior Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer and is a member of the top management team. In this role, Porola leads strategic planning, execution, and organizational and cultural transformation with the CEO and the rest of the leadership team. Olli also works with the company's 200+ employees to ensure the company evolves towards its strategic business goals and operational excellence.

Olli Porola's education history begins with their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Information Technology, which they obtained from the Turku University of Applied Sciences between 2002 and 2005. Afterward, they pursued further education and obtained a Professional Sports Coach qualification from the Varala Sports Institute in 2017-2018. In 2021, Olli enrolled in the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Strategic Leadership, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Alongside their formal education, Olli gained additional certifications including Certified Personal Trainer from the Varala Sports Institute, Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance, Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coaching Certification from Precision Nutrition, and Triathlon Coach Level 1 and Level 2 certifications, although the institutions where they obtained the latter certifications are not specified.
