Vice President Of Architecture & Product Planning at Ambiq

Dan Cermak has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Dan is currently the Vice President of Architecture & Product Planning at Ambiq Micro, a position they have held since July 2020. Prior to this, they were the Executive Director of Architecture and Product Planning at Ambiq Micro starting in October 2019. Before joining Ambiq Micro, Dan worked at Intel Corporation for over 10 years. Dan held the role of Principal Engineer / SoC Architect from October 2008 to May 2015, where they were responsible for the definition and delivery of next-generation smartphone, tablet, and wearable System-on-Chip ICs based on Intel Atom microprocessors. Dan also served as the Lead Architect / Design Manager from October 2005 to November 2008, where they led the definition and delivery of acceleration technologies targeted at content processing applications. Prior to their time at Intel, Dan held various roles at companies such as Conformative Systems, Trallium Technologies, Parthus Technologies, Chicory Systems, Motorola, and a previous stint at Intel Corporation as a CPU Design Engineer and Technical Marketing Engineer. Throughout their career, Dan has demonstrated expertise in architecture, product planning, and ASIC development.

Dan Cermak attended Brother Rice for their high school education. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Michigan to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration). Following their undergraduate studies, Dan continued their education at the University of Michigan and earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in VLSI.
